I’ve always had a tremendous love for dogs. When I finally got my first dog (Rafi) and started going through training, I fell in love with it and the way it positively impacted our relationship. We could enjoy all kinds of new experiences and I was able to bring him everywhere with me because he was well behaved. I wanted to be able to share the same experience with other dog lovers, so I started shadowing and mentoring under trainers to learn more. After working for a few other companies and mentoring under several other trainers, in 2021 we decided to chase our dreams of owning our own business and started Alec’s K9 Academy.

Rafi is an almost 6-year-old Rottweiler. He is loyal, determined, and goofy. Rafi loves going to work with Alec, but in his free time, his favorite activities are playing tug and running through the sprinkler.

Kona is a 5 ½ year old Great Dane. She is a gentle giant and believes she is a lap dog. When she’s not playing with her siblings, she is usually looking for a comfy place to nap.
